Our client is seeking a California-licensed Attorney to join its legal team handling civil collection matters. This opportunity offers a competitive base salary plus commission potential, with additional earnings available for attorney-negotiated settlements.
One of the biggest advantages of this role: no billable hour requirement. Attorneys can focus on effectively managing cases and achieving results rather than tracking billable time.
Key Responsibilities
- Review collection claims referred to the firm and determine readiness for legal action.
- Represent clients in civil collection matters throughout California.
- Review, approve, and execute pleadings and other legal documents to ensure cases move forward efficiently.
- Communicate regularly with courts, opposing counsel, consumers, and other parties involved in active matters.
- Oversee assigned dockets, including trial preparation and post-judgment enforcement activities.
- Support the overall management, supervision, and progression of cases.
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of California civil practice and applicable procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters and deadlines.
- Consistent, disciplined approach to workload and follow-through.
- Commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality legal work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
