Senior Project Manager – Land Development

Salary Range: $140,000–$190,000 per year

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex land development projects from initial planning and entitlements through design and construction support.
This position requires a licensed Professional Engineer with strong land development expertise, project leadership experience, and a proven ability to manage client relationships and multidisciplinary engineering teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for project delivery, financial performance, resource planning, and overall client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead land development projects from initial planning and entitlement through construction support
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, deliverables, and profitability
- Prepare proposals, fee estimates, project schedules, and scopes of work
- Conduct site investigations and coordinate civil engineering design activities
- Oversee entitlement, permitting, and regulatory approval processes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, consultants, and other stakeholders
- Support business development and help identify new project opportunities
- Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Project Managers and engineering staff
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate project resources
- Ensure designs and deliverables comply with applicable regulations, agency requirements, and engineering standards
- Monitor team performance, project financials, resource allocation, and client satisfaction
- Provide construction administration and engineering support throughout project delivery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Active Professional Engineer license
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in land development
- Proven experience leading projects from entitlement through design and construction support
- Strong knowledge of land development planning, design, permitting, and construction processes
- Experience managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, quality, and profitability
- Demonstrated experience managing clients and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Must be a U.S. citizen

- Site development, grading, drainage, and utility design
- Hydrology, stormwater management, and permitting
