🔧 About the Role

We are seeking a Senior MEP Coordinator to support large-scale commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will work closely with design consultants, subcontractors, field teams, and project leadership to ensure systems are properly planned, coordinated, installed, and commissioned.

This position requires strong leadership, communication, scheduling, and technical coordination experience on complex construction projects.

✅ Key Responsibilities

🔹 Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents
🔹 Evaluate schedules and determine procurement timelines for equipment and materials
🔹 Maintain weekly procurement logs and provide updates to project scheduling teams
🔹 Lead 3D BIM / CAD coordination meetings and resolve clashes to maintain project schedule
🔹 Manage RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and documentation through Procore or similar software
🔹 Review pricing changes and change order requests from subcontractors for accuracy
🔹 Monitor installation quality for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
🔹 Conduct regular field walks to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and code requirements
🔹 Support commissioning and startup of building systems
🔹 Enforce QA/QC standards throughout construction phases
🔹 Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
🔹 Coordinate with project teams to resolve field issues quickly and efficiently

🎯 Qualifications

✔️ High School Diploma or equivalent required
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
✔️ Equivalent combination of education and field experience will be considered
✔️ Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction, MEP coordination, or related field preferred
✔️ Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and life safety systems
✔️ Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
✔️ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
✔️ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
✔️ Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Procore or similar construction software

💰 Compensation

💵 Competitive annual salary based on experience: $150,000 – $200,000.
